Need a quick, easy, high protein snack that will satisfy a sweet craving? Try these yummy energy bites! They are super simple to make. Just throw all the ingredients in a bowl and mix. They are packed with superfoods and protein to keep you satisfied and give you loads of nutrients.

Here are some of the benefits of the superfood ingredients in each bite:

*Chia seeds- high in omega 3 fatty acids which help lower inflammation in the body and improve skin and hair. These tiny seeds are also packed with protein to aid in muscle growth and keep you satisfied.

*Hemp seeds-extremely high in complete protein. Meaning they contain all the amino acids our bodies need to digest the protein. They are also packed with omega 6 and 3 fatty acids, and loaded with fiber  which aids in digestion. They are great way to get plant based protein into your diet.

*Flaxseed- this little seed is also full of omega 3 fatty acids which aid in heart health. They also contain estrogen and antioxidant properties. Meaning they fight free radicals and can also lower the effects of menopause and PMS. Crazy right?!?

*Oats- loaded with fiber to keep you fuller longer. Complex carbohydrates, like oats, slow your rate of digestion keeping you satisfied longer and are gentle on your digestive tract.

So now we know why they are good for us, but how about we just make them cause they taste AMAZING! 😉 My kids and husband love these. I love eating them with coffee in the morning or post workout to get some carbs in after training.  It’s a yummy way to get all the goodness of superfoods and feel like it shouldn’t be good for you!
